If you are interested in affiliate marketing and would like to go beyond the ‘copy and paste’ your link stage, you might want to explore some niche marketing strategies.
Selecting a profitable niche my be a very important aspect, but it’s equally important to explore reasons to begin in the first place. In fact, if you have hobbies or special interests you may have already have a leg up in the selection process.
As an affiliate marketer with some years of experience I have my assigned links for numerous products in various articles, video descriptions and social media platforms all over cyberspace. In fact, I even occasionally get a click on a link that I do not remember creating (I keep track of them with the most popular affiliate link tracker, Clickmagick).
Some experts with insist that you need to find a niche where your knowledge and expertise will be greater than your average visitor. Certainly this would be a requirement if you plan on writing content. Still, if you have the dough you can hire a writer (try Online Jobs, for instance) and if you don’t have the resources the net is an extraordinary gift resource for doing research to help you get up to speed.
Probably the best rule of thumb for narrowing down your niche market strategies is to find a theme for which a ‘problem’ needs to be solved and then provide some solutions.
One of the most lucrative topics is weight loss, but it is much too large competetive to categorize as a single niche. You want to look into low carb diets, various exercise regimens, vacation spas, will-power affirmations or various holistic remedies.
I’m sure you get the idea.
Your niche marketing strategies will quickly become apparent as you explore the products that might be attractive to potential customers. Certainly checking out Amazon is a good place to begin.
But don’t forget about sites like ShareASale, Commission Junction, Rakuten, Clickbank, etc., where you can find some businesses that have a large inventory of products related to your specific niche.
I understand that the great stumbling block to exploring niche marketing strategies might be the need for a website, blog or even creating landing page. If you have no experience with platforms like Wordpress, never mind the fundamentals of SEO, then building niche site might be a non-starter.
There are a number of site builders out there that are inexpensive and relatively easy to use. Instabuilder is one. Big Commission Blueprint could get you going. Or, as noted in a previous message, Facebook provides a lot of tools for creating a good landing page.
Unless you are creating niche sites in order to sell them down the road (as I am), then it’s helpful to concentrate on a single niche, at least in the beginning. And think about high ticket possibilities for your product selection or possibly a subscription of some sort that can provide a recurring income.
Amazon is probably the best place to explore niche marketing strategies and one of my recommendations would be to take a free course provided by Amalinks Pro. This course will give you an in-depth overview of how to exploit some niche marketing strategies and there is no obligation to purchase any products.
I am currently working on some niche sites. DeliciousPastaRecipes is already up and I will soon be developing MexicanAncestory and ExtremeSwim. I’ll let you know how things are progressing from time to time.
Good luck on your journey.
