Email marketing is a recommended option after creating an opt-in form and offering a ‘lead magnet’ – usually a free report, video or ebook.

Knowing how to promote products online will also involve knowing something about PPC advertising. All the well-known social media platforms offer this option and, YouTube, Google and Bing will usually be more than happy to sign you up for an account.

Lastly, how you plan on monetizing your business and/or website should be considered in earnest. Banner ads, ecommerce and affiliate products can all be in the mix. Just don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions if things don’t work out the way you planned.

Competition can be fierce in some sectors and even the most professional websites can take up to six months to gain any tractions in the search engines.

Learning how to promote products online can be done with little money to start, but if you don’t take the time to develop some marketing skills you will remain behind the 8 ball for a long, long time.
