Getting Traffic To Your Website For Free With Hubpages and Infobarrel

Getting Traffic To Your Website For Free

Getting traffic to your website for free is an ambition for every internet marketer – including those who can afford to spend thousands on advertising.

Adding content to Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms are the most obvious strategies. But, just as useful, are free content platforms like Hubpages or Infobarrel. Not only can you add your content (and links) but you can get some additional income while you are at it.

With Hubpages, for instance, “Authors are compensated with earnings from ad revenue and affiliate links (like Amazon).” In the case of Infobarrel, “you are entitled to 75% of the revenue generated from the display ads on your articles.

But if your focus is search engine optimization, these very popular content sites can be very helpful in getting traffic to your website for free.

There are many more lesser known platforms that can contribute to getting traffic to your website for free but, along with Quora and Medium, Hubpages and Infobarrel are standouts.

These these platforms have good reputations – for quality as well as paying their contributors. If you are a marketer who finds it relatively easy to put pen to paper, then you should give these sites a looksee.

It’s possible that your niche isn’t covered on these platforms, but the chances are slim. For instance, Hubpages includes categories like PetHelpful, PatientsLounge, YouMeMindBody, ToughNickel, CalorieBee, Delishably and many, many others. Infobarrel presents many topics with more traditional labels like Health, Business, Travel, Tech, Sports, etc., etc.

Many contributors on these site have become influencers (see ToughNickel writer Mary Nicholson’s How I Reached 1,000,000 Views on HubPages) and have developed the kind of following that others have on Instagram. While you may not get that level of exposure you will certainly gain more attention than from the average Facebook page.

Similarweb reports that Hubpages is ranked 14,300 in visitors just from the U.S. Infobarrel comes in at 148,405. Not impressed? Consider the number of visitors to your Facebook page.

While the revenue earned on Hubpages and Infobarrel probably won’t be anything to write home about. Your goal is trying to rank your blogs in the search engines. It is the linking that will be important if you want to be getting traffic to your website for free.

Yes, I know, not everyone likes to write and that’s fine. A few can afford a freelancer. Others will ask their nephew to do it or pass on this strategy entirely.

Either way, it’s certainly a possiblity to think about if you are intent on getting traffic to your website for free.
